Tom’s music training began as a chorister in Guildford Cathedral Choir. He later read music at Goldsmiths College (University of London) and the Royal Academy of Music, studying conducting, composition, orchestration and piano.
Theatre includes: Most recently, Tom was MD for The Color Purple at the Menier Chocolate Factory; Made in Dagenham (workshop); Kiss of the Spider Woman (Arts Educational); and conducted the critically acclaimed NYMT production of West Side Story. Other MD credits include: Dirty Dancing (1st national tour); The Fantasticks (West End); A Christmas Carol (Birmingham Rep); The Witches of Eastwick (UK tour); Restoration (UK tour).
Film includes: as a composer, Last Night a Killer Saved my Life (French Fancy Films); Lost for Words (Workhouse Films). Film credits as a conductor include: Richard II (Rupert Goold/BBC Films); Macbeth (Rupert Goold/Illuminations).
Television includes: Don’t Stop Believing (Associate Music Director); The Voice (pianist); The Oh Factor (Musical Director and Arranger).

Other composition projects include: scores for A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Twelfth Night (Ken Hill House) and he is currently finishing his requiem for the victims and survivors of the 7/7 bombings.
